FUTURES Program - Strength & Conditioning Class for our young athletes held @ Ultimate Athlete

Introducing kids to strength training, coordination skills and endurance training at an early age will help to prioritize fitness as they grow into adulthood. Whether your child is in competitive sports, recreational sports or just needs to move their body more, this class is for them! We will explore common functional body-weight movements like squats, push ups, lunges and pull-ups, while incorporating teamwork and age appropriate fitness games to keep things fun. Balance, footwork and endurance will be addressed with agility drills and team challenges. This is a class for all ability levels; children with neurodiversity are encouraged to enroll. The FUTURE IS STRONG!

THE DETAILS:

  • Starting Tuesday, September 3- Class will run EVERY Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm and will end on Thursday, November 20th (12 week program)

  • 6-11 year olds

  • Group Fitness Setting

  • Strength training (highlighting proper mechanics of the squat, lunge, hinge, push-ups, pull ups, etc); Agility and speed training (focusing on sport specific drills to help with jumping, sprinting, balance, coordination, reaction time, etc.).

  • Lead by licensed pediatric physical therapist, personal trainer and mom, Dr. Kara Schulte 

  • Class held @ Ultimate Athlete (15901 Cramur Dr.) *Class will be outside so dress appropriately* 

  • Cost: Buy a '10 pack' of visits for the Futures class for $180; Or drop in at a rate of $25 per class
